I. Basics of operation

Upon opening vistraxWeb you will be taken to the overview. From here on you can start the “Web Client” of vistrax, go to the configuration panel or acces the help page.

To log into the Web Client, it is required to enter a username and a password. The user access data can be obtained from your administrator.

During the login you can also select a predefined client that you have stored in the database using vistrax-Admin. As soon as you have logged in, you will be forwarded to the main view of vistraxWeb. Here you will find the the visitor overview, which gives you a quick overview of both the present as well as the prepared visitors.

Important

Https is required for user accounts which are bound to LDAP / Active Directory.

Note

The visitor overview can be displayed in two different ways. To do this, select one of the two icons in the upper right corner and choose between the detailed view or the overview view.

Note

Many web browsers report an insecure connection if the SSL-certificate is not stored on the client computer.
The certificate must be added as a trusted root certificate on the client computer to prevent the message.

If your user account has access to several clients, you will be taken to a page where you can select a client after entering your login data. After selecting a client, click on the “Next” field to get to the main view of vistrax Web. Alternatively you can change the client directly in the web client by clicking on the field containing the client name. A dialog box will then open asking if you want to change the client. Confirm this field with “Yes”.

You can call up a visit via the search bar or select it via the visit overview. You can then adjust the data of the selected visit via the “Edit” menu item or remove it via “Delete”.

You can perform a visitor registration in a few simple steps. To do this, click on the “Register” field under Visitors, whereupon the “Registration” window will open. Here you can call up the data of a visitor who has already been created (to do this, call up the visitor via the input field) or enter the data of a new visitor to create a new visitor in the process. Then enter more detailed data, such as the validity period of the visit.

You can create, edit and delete companies under the Company menu item. To create a new company, click on the “New” field and the “New Company” window will open.
Here you can enter the data for a new company and create it using the “OK” field. With the “Cancel” field you can close the “New Company” window and cancel the process.
You also have the possibility to call up companies using the search bar or to select them using the company overview. Then you can adjust the data of the selected company using the “Edit” menu item or remove it using “Delete”.
